This is my biggest screen printing project yet! 🛏️ Full size sheet set + 2 pillows 🎥⁠⠀

Whew, it wasn't the easiest project I've attempted. There are definitely some imperfections (next time I'll use my press), but the repeating pattern is forgiving. ⁠⠀

It took forever to heat set the whole thing piece by piece 🔥 The final result was all worth it! ⁠⠀

What are the advantages of screen printing? ⁠

There are so many... but here are a few of the reason why I ♥️ screen printing:⁠

🌟 Making multiple prints of the same design is so easy. No more weeding the same design over and over. I've made 75 prints with one piece of vinyl on my screen. Some of you have mentioned making even more than that!⁠
⁠
🌟 You can mix inks to make your own custom colors. Whether you use one of my recipe guides or just experimenting with your own mixtures, you can come up with a ton of color variations with just a few jars of inks. ⁠
⁠
🌟 Anything you can cut on your vinyl cutter, you can screen print! Yep, I've done some pretty detailed prints with vinyl screen printing. ⁠

🌟 It just feels sooo much better than vinyl on a shirt! ⁠

Trying something new today! If you have been following along with my tutorials, you know I love screen printing with vinyl. When @ikonartstencil asked me to try their screen printing kit, I was curious how it would compare to my usual method.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The IKONART kit is closer to traditional screen printing methods - but easier. It comes with light sensitive film so it's all ready to use right out of the box. You don't have to add your own chemicals or mess with emulsion. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The things that excited me about this method:⁠⠀
1️⃣ You print the design, so you can use more detail than you could weed with vinyl⁠⠀
2️⃣ The film is adhesive so you can use it on surfaces that wouldn't otherwise work with a screen printing frame⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Normally, I wouldn't be able to screen print on this chalkboard from @orientaltrading because my screen printing frame wouldn't fit inside. With the IKONART kit, I was able to trim the film to fit right on the chalkboard. ⁠⠀
