Do you ever find yourself dreaming of the perfect space to get creative? I have updated my craft room space many times over the years – it’s something I love to do.

I'm excited to show you the latest transformation in my creative space!

This is the biggest change I’ve ever made and I LOVE it! It’s such a functional space and the perfect room to welcome my new Pigskins & Pigtails screen printing press.

Welcome to my Craft Room

Over the past few weeks, I've set aside my screen printing supplies and pulled out the drill and saw to make a big update in my craft room.

I have transformed this space above our garage many times over the years.  Check out my post from last year to see what my space looked like before this update.

A Craft Room Needs Lots of Storage

One of the most significant changes in my craft room makeover was the addition of what appears to be built-in shelving. With a touch of DIY magic, I've managed to create the illusion of custom-built shelves, adding IKEA bookcases pushed together.

The large pegboard serves as the perfect backdrop for filming my screen printing tutorials, but it’s also very functional – with all of my most used tools and supplies handy. Behind the pegboard is lots of storage for my photography lighting and extra supplies.

Want to know something fun? This ink jar display opens up to a storage area for all of my screen printing frames.

What doesn't fit in these storage areas overflows into my DreamBox which is downstairs. Tour my DreamBox Setup here.

Coming Soon – Pigskins & Pigtails Screen Printing Press

But that's not all – the star of the show: my brand new Pigskins & Pigtails press. As I prepare to launch this exciting venture, having an organized space to film lots of content was part of the reason for this massive update.

The Pigskins & Pigtails press has some pretty amazing features packed in its small framework. I can’t wait to share more about that soon. Check here for updates.

One of the amazing things about this press is the portability. It can be used on any sturdy table, cart, or even your kitchen counter! With the suction cup base, it’s easy to move around. No need to permanently mount it to your table. You can even hang it out of the way when you’re done.

Vinyl Cutting Machine Setup

Of course, no craft room update would be complete without a few enhancements to my equipment setup. My Siser Romeo gets a prime spot with easy access to rolls of vinyl. This setup makes going from designing on my computer to cutting to screen printing incredibly fast.

My Cricut is organized on a Hudson rolling cart from Michaels. I love how this fits my Cricut Maker 3, Easy Press, Hat Press, and Mug Press. Plus all the accessories fit under the cart topper.

xTools P2 Machine

On the opposite side of the room, you'll find a nook where I have the xTool P2 laser setup. This new addition to my space is a big one. Watch more about this laser machine and how I cut acrylic.

Blank T-Shirt Storage

Blank t-shirts can be one of the hardest things to keep organized in a craft room. I always order extra blanks when I'm working on a project – just in case I mess up.  The extras find their way here. I love storing my blank shirts on a clothes rod, separated by size. It is really easy to see the sizes and colors I have on hand when I'm searching for my next screen printing project.

As I stand in my newly transformed craft room, I can't contain the excitement for the creative journey that lies ahead in this space.

Stay tuned for more updates about the Pigskins & Pigtails screen printing press and how this magical screen printing tool can fit into your craft space – whether that’s a spare bedroom or a corner in the kitchen!

I hope seeing my space provides some inspiration for you to create your own creative sanctuary!

  3. How cool and easy to put together. Did not realize that IKEA and Michaels had all the storage I can possible use without spending $$$$$ of dollars on a craft furniture. Thank you.
