The guys in my family are always the most challenging to shop for at Christmas time.  I was really excited to hear that my favorite website for blank shirts has started carrying Under Armour.  Under Armour apparel at wholesale prices – you can't beat that!

When I saw the polos, sweaters and jackets, I knew that they would be perfect for screen printing.  I decided to add our high school's logo to each of them for my husband. Today I'm excited to share the results of screen printing using Speedball Fabric Ink on a variety of Under Armour items.

Which Under Armour apparel works best for screen printing?

The Under Armour Men's Corp Performance Polo was my favorite in terms of results. The material soaked up the Speedball Fabric ink, leaving nice sharp lines.  I also liked the results of the yellow ink on the Under Armour Men's Ultimate Team Jacket.

The Under Armour Men's Elevate 1/4 Zip Sweater and Under Armour Men's Ultimate Short Sleeve Button Down were a bit more challenging.   The sweater-knit fabric feels soft and has a slight weave texture to it.  It was similar to screen printing sweatshirts where it soaks into the fabric unevenly.  With a print-heat-print-heat-print technique, I was able to get a solid logo printed but it does have a bit of a vintage look to it.  The Short Sleeve Button Down has a very slight woven texture.  After the first pass of ink, the ink coverage was not even.  Again using the print-heat-print-heat-print technique, I was able to get a nice solid yellow logo on the button down shirt.
