If you are hooked on screen printing like me, your screen is probably getting lots of use! While I have found that a screen will last a LONG time, eventually you may want to replace it. Replacing your screen fabric is really simple if you have the right tools. I use this handy screen rolling tool to make the process easier.

When replacing your screen fabric, make sure you are pressing the cord all the way into the grooves.  It's important that your screen is very tight (like a drum).  Once you have successfully replaced your screen, you are ready for more DIY screen printing projects!  To learn how to screen print with your Cricut or Silhouette, check out my ebook “A Complete Guide to Screen Printing with Craft Vinyl.”

  1. Thank you SO much for this video. I am in awe of how simple it actually is to do! I was at a loss because I didn’t realize that it was so easy to achieve screen tension. I don’t have a screen roller, so I used the blunt side of a knife very very slowly and it worked just fine.
