This summer I helped my mom update a few things around her classroom and hallway.  This year's school theme is the “Courage to Explore.” Last year, the first grade hall was decorated with a camping theme.  The teachers had all done such cute things in the hallway, we didn't want to start from scratch.  So, in an effort to add the “explore” theme into “camping,” we added a huge explorer to one of the walls with “Let's Explore First Grade.” It turned out really cute and filled up a large empty space.  I also added a racoon friend to the bear door decoration. For the first day of school photos, I created this Jeep along with some “explore” photo props. I used a table, cardboard pieces and paper rolls to create the car. My girls were the first to jump in for a photo.  Jeep First Grade Photo Booth

One new addition to mom's classroom this year was a Focus Wall.  We used vinyl and tape to create a space for her driving questions each week.
