A couple years ago, my daughter and I started reading Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew together at bedtime.  Forty books later, we have finished the series.  We were so bummed to reach the end that we stretched out the last book over as many nights as we could.  To celebrate the end of a fantastic series, we had a book party and movie night.

We watched the Nancy Drew movie (starring: Emma Roberts, Craig Gellis).

The movie snacks were all planned around the book themes:

#1 Sleepover Sleuths – New PJs for a Pajama Party

#6 Fashion Disaster – Chocolate Chips

#8 Lights, Camera . . . Cats! – Movie Night watching Nancy Drew

#14 The Zoo Crew – Zoo Animal Crackers

#25 Buggy Breakout – Gummy Worms

#28 Time Thief – Time Capsule Dig, Dirt Pudding: Chocolate Pudding with Crushed Oreos

#34 Cupcake Chaos – Lucky Ladybug Cupcakes

We were so excited to find a new Nancy Drew series called Nancy Drew Diaries.  We're on book #3 and hoping will keep on writing!

  1. I love the idea of a party to celebrate the end of a series! I am using the Butterfly Blues book for a summer book club:)

    • How fun! We love to read! A summer book club sounds like a great idea!
