I had a great time planning this surprise 60th birthday party for my mom.  The pink and gold colors mixed with the mason jars and floral arrangements turned out perfectly with the “Having a Ball Since 1956” theme.  With some help from my aunt, we had some old (and some newer) photos displayed on the dessert table and as the backdrop over the dinner table.

This was my first attempt at chrysanthemum flower cupcakes.  It was a lot of working piping but I loved how they turned out.  I was also excited to try making the popular naked cake.  It was super easy and fit the theme of the party nicely!
