Have you ever wondered how to create a perfectly flat cake for layering and decorating?  It’s easier than you think.

I’ve tried all of the tools and made a mess of crumbs, but there’s a better way… one that requires no tools!  Whether you are frosting it or decorating it with fondant, this method will help you create a flat base that will make layering your cake much easier.

I will say, this method seems to work better on smaller cakes.  The one in this video is a 6″ cake.  It works okay on 10″ cakes but it’s a little harder to get it completely flat.
