It was my oldest daughter's first year of soccer.  We were anticipating the phone call from the coach, but instead it was the city league director asking if I wanted to be the coach for her team.  EEEK!  It had been a while since I coached soccer (coached a team my senior year of high school).  While I did have lots of experience playing, I wasn't quite sure I was ready to take on coaching duties again.  But I did it and it turned out to be a fun season with some really cute 5 &6 year olds.  For the end-of-the-season party, I came up with these soccer cupcakes.  I ordered the soccer ball rings online and used the grass decorating tip to pipe green frosting.  For the other cupcakes, I printed the team name and cut small circles.  I glued to a slightly larger scalloped circle.
