Over Memorial Weekend, we were in the San Marcos / New Braunfels area and visited the McKenna Children's Museum.  It was fantastic for a 2 and 4 year old. There were different experiences throughout the museum with lots of things to touch and use for pretend play.  Here were some of our favorites:

Hospital Nursery:

Grocery Shopping:

Art Room:

Bank (ATM and Vault):

Outside Climbing Pads:

Water Tables:

If you are looking for family friendly activities in the Central Texas area, be sure to stop by the McKenna Children's Museum.
