  6. How’d you make your invites and cake?? Love this!

    • I designed the invitations in Photoshop. The cake was kind of free hand. I printed a picture of George’s face. I used a sharp knife and traced the lines, then filled in with the different colors. I used the marshmallow fondant (don’t remember the source, but you can find it on Pinterest). Thanks for visiting!

  7. where did you get the chevron tablecloth?

    • It was a piece of fabric that I found at Hancock Fabric (Texas).

      • Okay, thanks. I looked up online and we have on in my state but I then looked up chevron on the store website and it doesn’t come up =( its so cute.

        • I’ve seen some on etsy.com. You might try searching “yellow chevron material” on that website.

  8. How did you find the curious George face for the goodie bags ?

    • I enlarged a picture of George that I found online, printed it on cardstock, and cut it out. 🙂

  9. What did you put in the goodie bags?

    Reply
    • Oh goodness. I can’t remember exactly. I’m pretty sure there were bubbles, maybe chalk, something chocolate. I usually don’t buy the party store themed “stuff.” Instead I go for things that the birthday girl enjoys.

  10. Would you mind emailing me your photoshop file of the invitation? I would LOVE to customize it using our information and use it for my daughter’s first birthday party. Name your price 🙂

    • I wish I could sell or give away the invitation file, but because the character is trademarked, I can’t distribute the file. Sorry!

  12. I was wondering where you found the Hundley plush toy? Very cute party!

    • It was a gift (found on Amazon, I believe). I remember that it wasn’t a licensed Curious George plush but it looks just like him.

  13. Is there any way you could email the invitation WITHOUT Curious George? Thank you.

    Reply
    • Thank you for your interest in the invitation. I have added the chevron design (minus the George graphic and words) to my shop here! It is available in pink or blue.

  14. Ok, silly question but, where were you able to find pink balloons in multiple shades? I love the look but don’t want to buy multiple large packs.

    Reply
    • Humm.. trying to remember where I got the balloons. Either from the grocery store (HEB, if you are in Texas) or local florist. I think it was just 2 shades, a light pink and dark pink. I bet the party store would have them too.

  15. I love the t-shirt! Did you make it yourself? Do you know of a place I could order it?

    Reply
    • I ordered it on etsy. It was a while ago so I don’t remember the person that I purchased from but I would check etsy.

  16. If I bought the invite from your site how would I go about getting George on it

    Reply
    • I would suggest creating the invite in Photoshop if you have that program. You could use the background pattern graphic that I offer as your background layer.

    • I made them. I found a graphic of Curious George (sorry, I don’t remember the source). I printed it and cut into pieces and glued to the bag.

  18. Hi! What did you serve to drink? I’m having a 1st birthday party Saturday and I don’t know what toddlers can drink. Punch, juice?

    Reply
    • HI Mallory,
I typically serve water and juice boxes for kids’ parties. For a 1st birthday party, I’d suggest apple juice and water. Have a fun party!

  20. I love the face image for the gift bags. Any thoughts on where I can get the image?

    • Unfortunately this was from early in my blogging adventure and I didn’t write down the source for that graphic. I remember finding it through a Google search but I don’t know who to credit or link to. Hopefully you can find a graphic and create something similar! Good luck!
