Henry the Elf {Day 1}

We introduced Elf on the Shelf to Taylor (4) and Payton (1.5) for the first time this year.  Last night we read the book.  It didn't go quite as I expected.  Taylor was scared of the thought of an elf coming into our house.  She finally went to sleep and woke up to the Elf delivering a peace offering…snowmen from the North Pole:

He had also left a note explaining that he is a friendly elf.

Taylor named him Henry and continues to stare at him.  She keeps asking if he's real.

Payton gladly accepted the peace offering:
