Valentine’s Theme Mantel

A few Pinterest inspired decorations finished off my Valentine’s Day themed mantel this year.

Christmas Mantel

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas in our house.  Here’s a look at our Christmas themed mantel.

Fall Mantel

It doesn’t feel like fall in Texas yet, but the calendar says it’s October.  So, up with the Halloween/fall decor!

Football Season Mantel

Football takes over our house this time of year.  I thought it was fitting to create a football themed mantel.  Of course, we had to represent both of our teams – the Bulldawgs (the high school team my husband coaches) and the Texas Longhorns!

Found an old green frame and added simple vinyl lines and numbers to create this football frame:

My first attempt at stenciling letters:

Painted a piece of wood and had coach draw a play:

Summer Mantel {Beach Theme}

Not sure what to do with the shells and treasures from your beach vacation?  Here’s how we are remembering our summer vacation – a beach theme mantel:

Homemade Canvas Photos:  I wanted large photos that would stand on their own and fill the mantel.  So, I took an 8×10 print and 11×14 print and Modge Podged them to canvas board from Hobby Lobby for a faux canvas print.

Frame Makeover:  I took an old brown frame and painted it blue for a fresh new look.  Added a sand dollar from the beach to create a fun souvenir.
